Wisdom of the Grandmothers

Tips for Living from the Realms of Love

This book came forward out of an exercise I was given in my woman’s circle — to spend 5 minutes a day meditating with a photo of each of my grandmothers, asking them for guidance. As I sat with the spirits of these remarkable women each day, my pen moving rapidly across the page, they offered up their stories, wisdom and advice in the most loving way imaginable.

Early on I know that something extraordinary was happening, and I also knew that their experiences and their guidance from beyond was something people everywhere could benefit from. In a unique diary format, I posed a question each day and received answers that helped me to redefine my life and my path. Foremost in my mind throughout this journey was the question, “How can this benefit others?”

Through their own stories and through their wisdom from the realms of love in which they now dwell, they covered topics such as:

  •  Finding your own voice and using it
  • Learning to love yourself just as you are right now
  • The cost of saying no to yourself and your growth
  • Healing your ancestral wounds
  • Manifesting your life from a place of power

For those people who are in the process of  “no longer playing small” this book is medicine for the soul. It contains the wisdom I wish I would have known and spoken throughout my life so far. It provides the second chance for my grandmothers to have their voices heard.

jean-tindleJean Tindle is a gifted teacher, healer and ceremonialist and has spent the last 20 years studying the shamanic traditions of North and South America. This includes long study with Peruvian maestro curandero Oscar Miro-Quesada. She has also spent many months in the jungles of Peru studying with medicine men and women of the Capanahua and Shipibo tribes. Her study in Chile focused on the feminine tradition of the Mapuche and she is a kultrun drum carrier in that tradition. Through this long shamanic training came a close connection with her own ancestors and their stories.

Jean has also received training and certification in crystal healing, sound healing and Reiki where she is a Master level. She is the founder and owner of Spirit Dancer Crystals.

It has long been her intention to create experiences for students and clients that open their hearts, touch their souls, and put them firmly on their path to joy and healing. Through writing classes, spiritual guidance, and healing sessions, she has achieved this intention. And along the way learned from each and every encounter.

Writing this book has fulfilled another long-held dream of becoming an author. The wisdom and guidance from her grandmothers has opened a whole new chapter in her own journey. It is another way to be of service to the healing of those who have gone before and for those who will come after her. In giving the grandmothers voice, she has found her own voice.

“I am grateful to offer this wealth of grandmother wisdom to my community and beyond to use for their own transformation.”

She lives in Madison, WI with her partner Bob and all of their backyard birds and trees. For more information on classes and events, go to www.spiritdancercrystals.com.
